BONAFIDE MOTO CO
HERE’S TO THE NEXT ADVENTURE
THE EXPERIENCE GENERATORS
Bonafide Moto Co basically started from a desire to meet like minded motorcycle enthusiasts in and around Johannesburg. Joe was new from the US to South Africa, had recently acquired a motorcycle and was looking to find others to explore South Africa with. After a few key people crossed his path a weekly meet-up at a local coffee shop began.
That’s when we gave the weekly meet-ups a name, Bonafide Mass. It was a play on words from the place we met (Priest Espresso Bar) and a weekly confessional of sorts tying back to the brand that had brought these bearded guys together, Bonafide Beards.
Since that day in 2015 the community has grown into a collection of guys & girls, young & old with a variety of bikes underneath them. We encouraged all riders in the Johannesburg area to check out our weekly meet ups, join in on the adventures and take part in our experiences with only one simple rule in mind, don’t be a dick! It’s a simple rule that covers so much. We like to think that our community of riders treat other people with kindness, are able to lend a helping hand and are there for others when they need help.
We realized quickly with the growing community that we had the opportunity to grow this into a platform that could offer riders regular events, multi-day curated moto-adventures and also providing new riders with off-road training with all of these focusing on the experience itself.
Along the way of our growing adventures we partnered up with amazing brands that we felt were in line with our ethos (Triumph Motorcycles, The House Of Machines, Front Runner, Bell Helmets, Motul, Traeger, Devil’s Peak & Bulleit Bourbon). We wanted to bring along the right partners that could help add to the overall experience and provide them with beautiful content that could tell the story of our adventures to our platforms and media partners (ZA Bikers, Expedition Portal & For The Ride).
We pride ourselves on providing our guests and riders with a full end to end premium experience. Our trips and events include all inclusive packages where you just show up and we take care of the rest.
Depending on the moto-adventure or event you choose to be a part of you can expect to have quality foods, drinks and unique places to stay in the evenings. As much as we want you to remember the roads you travelled with us it’s equally as important to enjoy those moments when you’re off the bike. For those are the times when you grow, meet new people and can experience a new place.
Each experience is fully supported. We make sure that no matter the destination that we’ve got the right support and infrastructure to get you and your bike home safe. Thats why on each adventure we travel with a fully equipped 4x4 vehicle from Front Runner, a motorcycle trailer and a travelling doctor. If there’s issues along the road help is close by.
