ROOF OF AFRICA
THE VIBE
Experience the thrill of the legendary Roof of Africa from a whole new perspective—by riding alongside the pro racers as they take on one of the toughest enduro challenges in the world. This is your chance to soak up the atmosphere of the “Mother of Hard Enduro” while exploring Lesotho’s dramatic landscapes on your own adventure bike. You won’t just be a spectator—you’ll be part of the action.
Our home base is the Adventure Village, where every rider receives a complete race pack including an adventure riding shirt, hydration pack, race number, transponder, GPX routes, nutritional supplements, socks and more. Accommodation, daily breakfast & dinner are all included, making it a fully supported experience. Between rides, you’ll get to mingle with the pros, share stories around the fire, and feel the pulse of one of the most iconic off-road events on the planet.
THE RIDING
The journey to the spectator points in Lesotho is an adventure in itself. Expect winding dirt roads that snake through rugged valleys and climb into the mountains, offering breathtaking views at every turn. These routes are a mix of well-travelled gravel, rocky sections, and a few loose climbs that keep things interesting without being overly technical. It’s the kind of riding that gives you just enough challenge to feel alive, balanced with stretches where you can simply relax, look up, and take in the beauty of the “Kingdom in the Sky.”
Along the way, you’ll ride past traditional villages, herds of livestock, and locals waving as you pass—a reminder that Lesotho is as much about its people as its landscapes. The dirt roads bring you closer to the heart of the country, where the rhythm of life moves slower and the air feels cleaner. Reaching the spectator points isn’t just about watching the pros tackle the Roof of Africa—it’s about the unforgettable ride that gets you there.
THE FOOD
At the heart of the Adventure Village is the fire—and every day it brings us together. Each morning kicks off with a hearty breakfast to fuel the day’s ride, whether it’s eggs sizzling on the pan, hot coffee in hand, or fresh local staples to keep the energy up. After a full day out on the dirt roads and at the spectator points, you can look forward to winding down with a proper dinner cooked and shared as a group. From braais under the stars to comforting plates dished up in camp, every meal is about good food, good company, and recharging for the next day’s adventure.
We take care of everything so you can focus on the ride and the race unfolding around you. With breakfast and dinner provided each and every day, the Adventure Village becomes more than just a place to stay—it’s a community hub where stories are shared, friendships are made, and appetites are always satisfied.
THE ACCOMMODATION
Our glamping tents strike the perfect balance between rugged adventure and everyday comfort. These safari-style tents are fitted with one or two beds, complete with a proper mattress and pillow, so you can enjoy a good night’s rest after long days on the bike. A bedside table and electricity add a touch of convenience, giving you space to keep your essentials close and your devices charged. It’s camping, but with the comforts that make all the difference.
Set up right in the heart of the Adventure Village, the tents create a cozy retreat where you can rest, reset, and be ready for the next day. You’ll still feel connected to the outdoors with the sounds of the night around you, but without having to rough it. It’s the ideal setup for riders who want the experience of sleeping under canvas, with just enough luxury to keep things easy and enjoyable.

WHAT KIND OF BIKES ARE WELCOME TO JOIN THE BUBBLE RUN? ALL BIKES! WHAT’S THE WEATHER LIKE IN SABIE? We never know. Sabie has very unique weather. When it’s sunny and warm it’s also quite humid, but there have been many years where we get a lot of rain throughout the weekend. We always recommend bringing rain gear as you will most definitely need it at some point.
