THE STORY
Namibia is vast. It’s big. It’s beautiful. The roads are amazing and you’ll feel like a speck of sand amongst the wide open terrain of Namibia.
We’ve put together a great 9 day motorcycle adventure that will provide you with truly exceptional off-road riding through canyons, through dry river beds, over mountains and through vast open spaces.
THE RIDING
The majority of the time in Namibia we will make use of the country’s national and tertiary roads. These roads include both tar and gravel roads in between towns. The road surface and conditions change often between hard packed gravel, corrugation, loose gravel and sand. Each day’s riding will vary from the one previous, when there’s a long day of riding, the next is shorter distance.
Rider confidence is a must for this journey and we encourage all riders to spend time on their bikes before coming to Namibia. See below about the included off-road training.
TRIUMPH SCRAMBLER 400X (Included motorcycle rental)
We’ve tested this bike in harsh environments like Botswana and it’s extremely capable to handle the Namibian terrain.
What’s great with the Scrambler 400X is that it’s lower to the ground than most adventure bikes and also lighter. For those who may not be tall riders, this is a great option.
THE BIKES
TRIUMPH TIGER 900 RALLY PRO (Additional $500)
For those who are confident in their skills to take on Namibia with an adventure bike, the Tiger 900 is our preferred bike. These bikes are top of the line with amazing suspension and features. The Tiger 900 has proved itself time and time again on each of our adventures into Namibia.
OFF-ROAD TRAINING & EVALUATION DAY
Our first full day together in Namibia will be dedicated to our off-road assessment and localized skills (sand) training day. This allows us to see where everyone’s skill levels are and to work 1 on 1 with each rider to help them improve any areas of concern with their skills.
THE BONAFIDE SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE
We've always been of the mindset that Bonafide Moto Co. curates adventures, rather than tours. The reasoning is simple – we're adventurers at heart.
To us, adventures come with ups and downs along the way. Some days are easy, while others will challenge you. Either way, you’ll reach your journey's end with a feeling of real accomplishment.
Bonafide Moto Co. adventures are carefully designed to encapsulate the true spirit of adventure travel. They take you along paths unknown, push the limits of your skills, make you work for your reward – and most of all, bring like-minded people together.
Adventures are all about a team effort. Each person finds a role, assisting others when they need help and knowing that each of us is in this together.
We pride ourselves on having the ability to create this camaraderie, with many of our guests returning year-on-year to rekindle those lasting friendships at the end of every day around the fire.
If you’re looking for an easy outride – this one isn’t for you. If you’re looking for a life-changing motorcycle adventure that will challenge you, make you part of a team, and help you grow as an individual – this is your next adventure and we look forward to hosting you!

ITINERARY
Actual stops and locations are subject to change.
Windhoek
Windhoek, the vibrant capital of Namibia, is where our Namibian motorcycle adventure begins. Nestled in the heart of the country, this charming city offers a unique blend of African and European influences, with wide streets, colonial architecture, and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to gather before hitting the open road—stock up on supplies, soak up the local culture, and meet fellow riders as we prepare to head into the vast, untamed beauty that lies beyond the city limits.
Swakopmund
Swakopmund is where the desert meets the sea—and for motorcycle adventurers, it’s a thrilling contrast to the wild roads that lead there. After carving through endless dunes and open plains, arriving in this coastal town feels like stepping into another world. With its German colonial charm, cool Atlantic breeze, and oceanfront cafes, Swakopmund is the perfect place to unwind and explore. Whether you're riding along the salt roads, grabbing a seafood braai by the beach, or just watching the fog roll in over the dunes, this coastal gem offers a unique blend of adventure and relaxation on our journey through Namibia.
Omaruru
Omaruru is a welcome breath of fresh air on our motorcycle adventure through Namibia—a scenic, off-the-beaten-path town nestled beneath the Erongo Mountains. The ride in offers winding gravel roads, vast open plains, and the kind of silence only the Namibian bush can deliver. Known for its artistic flair and local charm, Omaruru is a great spot to refuel—both your bike and your spirit. Expect cold drinks, dusty boots, and stories shared around the fire as we rest up before continuing deeper into the wild beauty of Namibia.
Lunar Landscape
The Lunar Landscape of Namibia feels like riding across another planet—vast, surreal, and utterly unforgettable. Just outside Swakopmund, this otherworldly terrain unfolds in dramatic waves of scorched rock and deep valleys carved over millions of years. For motorcycle adventurers, it’s a playground of winding gravel tracks, alien-like scenery, and wide-open silence that stirs the soul. The ride through this stark, ancient landscape is a reminder of how small we are—and how epic the journey can be. It's a must-ride stretch that captures the raw, untamed spirit of Namibia.
Uis
Uis is a true desert outpost and a favourite stop for motorcycle adventurers carving their way through Namibia’s raw and rugged terrain. Once a bustling mining town, it now offers a quiet, scenic retreat with sweeping views of Brandberg—the country’s highest mountain. The ride into Uis is pure magic: wide gravel tracks, ancient dry riverbeds, and the occasional desert elephant if you're lucky. It’s the kind of place where the dust settles, the beers are cold, and the sunsets stretch forever. A perfect pit stop to rest, refuel, and take in the surreal beauty of Namibia’s desert heart.
Spitzkoppe
Spitzkoppe, often called the "Matterhorn of Namibia," rises dramatically from the desert floor, creating a breathtaking backdrop for any motorcycle adventurer. The ride in is pure freedom—open gravel roads, wide skies, and the iconic granite peaks drawing you in from miles away. This ancient mountain range is a sacred place, rich in San rock art and timeless silence. As the sun sets, the rocks glow with fiery hues, and the stars begin to blanket the sky. Whether you're pitching a tent beneath the arches or climbing the boulders at dawn, Spitzkoppe is a magical stop that stirs the spirit and reminds you why you ride.
